In honor of our biggest fan...

The aurora  borealis is perhaps the most famous lights in the history
of the world. Named after the roman goddess Aurora(whose name means
dawn) the lights are usually visible over the arctic or Antarctic
circles.

A common misconception however, is that the aurora lights are actually
polar lights. In truth however the northern lights are actually
visible over a spectrum with a temperature of 65 degrees to 72
degrees. Their reason for occurring is actually a reflection of light
off the ionized nitrogen in the Earth’s upper atmosphere.

Alightingstore.com also provides colored lighting. Checkout some of
our overhead fixtures to make your own aurora... or just light up your living room...
